Dr Samuel Cheyney and Dr Joseph Barraud will be presenting on behalf of Getech at next week’s EAGE conference in Vienna. The conference runs from 30 May to 2 June, 2016.
ePoster presentation
Sam will be presenting his ePoster, “Applying magnetic magnitude transforms to aid structural mapping in areas where the RTP calculation is unreliable”, at 08:55 on Tuesday 31 May, 2016 as part of the Potential Field Methods Case Studies session. This session will be in the ePosters 1 section in Hall B of the exhibition space. Sam will highlight some of the latest technologies being developed at Getech to enable increasingly reliable geological interpretations to be made from magnetic data, especially in equatorial zones where we have recently been developing a number of Regional Reports.
Oral presentation
With a presentation entitled, “A unified method for calculating the depth to source of horizontal density layers”, Joe will be highlighting some of his work as part of Getech’s continuing development of depth-to-basement methods; these methods have been utilised in numerous projects such as our Global Depth-to-Basement Study. Joe’s presentation starts at 08:30 on Thursday 2 June, 2016 in the Lehar 1 Room. This presentation is part of a session entitled “Innovation in Potential Fields Methods”, which is a perfect showcase for Getech’s practical implementation of its technical innovations.
