On 7 April 2015, Getech announced the completion of the acquisition of ERCL, which is a specialist upstream oil and gas consultancy based in Henley-on-Thames in the UK. ERCL’s skills, experience and reputation are primarily in the use and application of seismic and well data in all stages of the workflow, and they therefore strongly complement Getech’s current capabilities and market position.
On 19 May 2015, Getech hosted a visit to its Leeds office for all ERCL staff. This was central to the integration strategy and to the programme of building strong relationships between the companies and respective staff. There was a series of presentations at the Weetwood Hall conference centre, including twenty thumbnail presentations from staff with a range of backgrounds and current roles, followed by informal sessions at Getech’s Leeds office and dinner at a restaurant in Roundhay Park. To round off the visit, ERCL organised a short field trip to Castleton in Derbyshire.
