Getech is pleased to be presenting at the London Mediterranean, Middle East & Africa (MMEA) Scout Group’s meeting on Wednesday 18 May, 2016 in London. Jean Malan will provide a technical talk entitled “Unravelling the secrets of the Orange Basin, South Africa”.
The London MMEA Scout Group is only open to bona fide oil and gas companies who have exploration or production licences within a particular area of interest; this area runs from France to South Africa and from the Cape Verde Islands to Pakistan (plus Romania and Bulgaria for some companies). The group’s current membership of 120 oil and gas companies ranges from the super majors to small independents. It was founded some 28 years ago and meets every 2 months.
Jean Malan is a Senior Geoscientist at Getech. He is the Project Manager of a forthcoming Regional Report for 2016 entitled “Stratigraphic Framework and Hydrocarbon Prospectivity of Southern Africa”. Jean started his geology career in the early 1980s at the Geological Survey of South Africa, before moving on to work the African exploration patch for Soekor, Namcor, Sasol and PetroSA. Most recently he worked for NewAge in London, before joining Getech last October.
Joining Jean will be Martine Davis, who will be happy to answer any questions on Getech and ERCL’s consultancy services. For more information on the Stratigraphic Framework and Hydrocarbon Prospectivity of Southern Africa Regional Report, please email Martine on Martine.Davis@getech.com.
