Getech is very pleased to be sponsoring the Arthur Holmes Meeting 2016 at The Geological Society in London.
The meeting, which runs from 23 to 25 May, 2016, will mark the 50th anniversary of Tuzo Wilson’s landmark paper, “Did the Atlantic close and then re-open?” This paper led to the Wilson Cycle concept. The meeting’s focus on plate tectonics and structural inheritance is closely aligned to the geodynamics work and development currently being undertaken at Getech. An exceptionally high-quality technical programme has been confirmed, so we look forward to three stimulating and thought-provoking days.
During the breaks in the technical programme, Getech’s Geodynamicist Dr Peter Webb will be manning the Getech stand in the Geological Society Library. Peter will be very happy to discuss Getech’s latest plate modelling work; this work forms a part of the Tectonics Module of Globe, Getech’s flagship New Ventures platform.
