A comprehensive data package for optimising the exploration of Brazil’s oil and gas assets
Brazil’s ANP has announced the date for the country’s next oil and gas licensing round as taking place on June 17, 2025.
Available in this round are 332 exploratory blocks across several onshore and offshore basins. The blocks are within the Campos, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Foz do Amazonas, Paraná, Parecis, Pelotas, Pernambuco-Paraíba, Potiguar, Santos, and Tucano basins.
Getech’s Brazil Regional Exploration Package, powered by Globe, and fully integrated with our advanced datasets, supports exploration in areas covered in this licence round. This package helps resolve critical exploration questions in key Brazilian basins, such as:
the nature of the Albian-Cenomanian-Turonian sediment delivery system for clastic reservoirs in the Pelotas Basin to mitigate the key reservoir quality concern raised in the conjugate system in Nambia;
the development of basement structures and paleobathymetry during the Aptian when key source rock intervals were being accumulated in the Campos Basin.
For more information about this regional exploration opportunity get in touch with our team.
Our comprehensive data package includes a wide range of geological and geophysical datasets, including ESRI country outlines, basin boundaries, intrabasinal features, and structural activation histories.
It includes detailed depth models for basement and Moho, as well as sedimentary and crustal thickness data. Thermal mapping layers provide temperature and heat flow profiles, while palaeogeographies from the Permian to the Cenozoic offer insights into historical climate and lithofacies predictions.
The package also features a basin play catalogue, stratigraphic lexicons, and enhanced gross depositional environment maps.
